The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Jimmy Bodin founded Jousset Parfums in 2020 with a singular conviction that perfume could taste like the sweetest foods in the world. The French niche house set out to prove that luxury fragrance and ultra-gourmand indulgence were not opposing forces but natural partners. When Bodin set his sights on translating the bright chaos of a childhood candy aisle into scent, he reached for the most visceral, immediate fruity notes he could find. The result is a fragrance that revisits the sensory thrill of discovering an overstuffed candy display, a scent that triggers memory and appetite simultaneously.
Bodin selected Lemon, Lime, Orange and Pineapple as the opening quartet because these fruits exist closest to the candy aisle in the imagination. Lemon and Lime provide the tart kick that makes confectionery interesting, Orange delivers the golden sweetness that balances that acidity, and Pineapple adds the tropical urgency that transforms simple citrus into something exotic and exciting. Banana and Peach form the heart because their creamy, fleshy characters bridge the gap between fresh fruit and dessert, making the transition to Sugar and Vanilla cream feel natural rather than abrupt.
The evolution
The fragrance opens with a forceful, almost aggressive citrus performance, Lemon and Lime hitting with sharp tartness before Orange and Pineapple flood in with their tropical brightness. Within minutes the sharp edges round as Banana enters the composition, its creamy, almost beaded sweetness tempering the citrus fire. Peach follows, its soft stone-fruit fleshiness absorbing the earlier bite and replacing it with something rounder, warmer and unmistakably edible. As the drydown takes hold the citrus and tropical fruit fade into a sugar-dusted backdrop where Vanilla cream performs its slow, enveloping work, wrapping the wearer in a warm, Intimate sweetness that functions almost like a fragrance memory of the earlier pleasures. The arc is intentional and clearly mapped, each phase a distinct chapter in a sugar-forward story.
Cultural impact
The scent first appeared as a 15 ml gift with Summer Yummer, then earned a limited 50 ml release in July 2025 after fans clamored for more. Its playful sweetness quickly made it a summer staple among Jousset’s unisex fans, often cited in online chatter as the perfume that turns a casual day into a candy‑shop stroll.
