    Jimmy Bodin

Jimmy Bodin grew up in a French kitchen where simmering sauces and fresh herbs filled his childhood with scent. Those early moments taught him that memory lives in aroma, not in textbooks. He skipped formal perfume school, choosing instead to apprentice with independent artisans who valued instinct over theory. By his mid‑twenties he began supplying niche houses, refining a voice that married gourmand indulgence with subtle elegance. In 2015 he co‑founded Jousset Parfums, declaring a mission to champion ultra‑gourmand creations that feel as intimate as a family dinner. A few years later he launched Perestish Parfums, a line that blends Eastern spice traditions with European avant‑garde techniques. Today he splits his time between his two houses, guiding each bottle from concept to the moment it lands on a collector’s shelf.

    The signature

    How Jimmy composes

Bodin favors ingredients that evoke food and comfort: caramelized sugar, toasted almond, bright bergamot, and warm vanilla. He often layers a bright top note with a creamy heart, finishing on a subtle mineral or spice that adds depth. His technique includes slow maceration, allowing volatile elements to settle before blending. He avoids heavy synthetics, preferring natural extracts that retain character over time. The result is a scent that feels both luxurious and approachable, inviting the wearer to relive a cherished moment.

    Philosophy

    What drives Jimmy

Bodin believes perfume should echo lived experience. He captures a single feeling—a quiet afternoon tea, a burst of citrus from a market stall—and translates it into scent. Rather than chasing trends, he asks what memory a note can summon and builds compositions that feel immediate yet layered. He treats each formula as a conversation between the nose and the wearer, letting instinct decide when a accord is complete. This approach keeps his work fresh, anchored in personal history while remaining open to the unexpected.
