Perfumer Jimmy Bodin took on the challenge of capturing a specific food memory rather than a general concept. The brief was simple: make people smell this and think of buttered popcorn. No abstract interpretation, no elevated concept, just the real thing translated into liquid form. The house wanted to prove that gourmand perfumery could be as precise as any other category.
The note structure mirrors the anatomy of actual caramel corn: the salty fat of the butter and popcorn serves as the foundation, the caramel-vanilla combination builds the sweet middle, and the rice powder provides the finishing dust that clings to your fingers. Sea salt appears strategically to keep the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional. This is fragrance designed to smell like something you want to eat, made with the precision of a confectioner.
The evolution
The fragrance opens with a salted popcorn accord that hits immediately, partnered with butter note to create that unmistakable cinema aroma.
