The beginning
Naked Tango arrived in 2018, the work of perfumer Oleg Razygrin. Its composition pulls together civet, milk chocolate, costus, and whipped cream in a single breath, threading together notes most fragrances keep firmly apart. The sweetness here is not innocent. Milk chocolate arrives with the density of the confection itself, tempered by a civet that purrs underneath rather than roaring. Whipped cream softens the sharper animalic edges while adding a lactonic richness that reads almost like skin-warmed custard. Costus contributes its warm-spiced, root-tinged depth, giving the blend its slightly feral undertone without ever tipping into something unwearable. Razygrin asks whether desire and sweetness can occupy the same gesture without one canceling the other.
