Ellis Brooklyn's Milkshake collection captures the joy of a frozen treat, and Mango Milkshake was born to bottle that sunny indulgence. Perfumer Alexandra Monet translated the creamy swirl of a mango-mousse shake into scent, pairing the bright zing of Minneola tangelo and lemon with the ripe pulp of mango to open on a high, optimistic note. She chose to layer coconut and sugar cane into the heart to give the composition its creamy, dessert-like core without tipping into heaviness.
Monet built the opening around Minneola tangelo because its flavor profile bridges lemon and tangerine, offering both zest and ripe fruit character. The mango mousse accord acts as the bridge between the citrus opening and the creamy heart, creating continuity. In the drydown, she chose musk as a clean base rather than something heavier like sandalwood, ensuring the tropical sweetness never becomes cloying, while tonka bean and vanilla add just enough richness to keep the finish satisfying.
