The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Love Pom Mist arrived in 2026 as part of Ellis Brooklyn's Summer of Love collection, a limited release that leans into the brand's appetite for play. The brief reads simple: take the optimism of fresh fruit and balance it against something grown-up. Pomegranate and strawberry bring the brightness, a juicy, almost edible sweetness that hits right at the top. Vanilla orchid and cashmere wood bring the weight, grounding the composition with warmth and a soft, woody undertow. The result is less of a fruit perfume and more of a fruit perfume that showed up to dinner in something nicer than expected. The mist format keeps everything airy, almost like walking through a fine spray of fruit water, while the base notes anchor the sweetness so it never tips into candy territory.
What's interesting here is the structure. The opening is pure juice: pear leaf, pomegranate, strawberry, all sweet, all forward, all competing for attention in the best way. There's a green edge from the pear leaf that keeps the fruit from collapsing into jam, and the strawberry adds a candied roundness underneath the pomegranate's tart brightness. Then the heart pulls back into something quieter with jasmine, lotus, and vanilla orchid doing the heavy lifting.
The evolution
On skin, the first 15 minutes are all pomegranate. That juice note is loud, almost sticky-sweet, and it announces itself before anything else gets a word in. The strawberry and pear leaf are there, but pomegranate drives, tart and ruby-bright, with the strawberry lending a jammy undertone and the pear leaf adding a faint green snap. By the 30-minute mark the fruit starts to soften. The jasmine and lotus creep in, the florals lifting the composition into something cooler and more translucent, the jasmine adding a creamy white-flower quality while the lotus brings a watery, almost aquatic calm. The vanilla orchid shows up doing what vanilla orchid does, rounding every sharp edge the fruit left behind and lending a milky sweetness that softens the whole blend.
Cultural impact
Part of Ellis Brooklyn's 2026 Summer of Love collection, Love Pom Mist wears like a daytime fragrance for the kind of person who wants sweetness without losing the plot: a summer mist, a brunch scent, something easy and romantic. It's the sort of spritz that feels right for a warm afternoon, a first date that doesn't want to try too hard, a weekend morning that calls for something soft. The composition is built around a fruit-floral core, with the pomegranate and strawberry doing the cheerful work up top and the florals and woods lending a gentle seriousness underneath.
