Fun & Chic arrived in 2024 as part of El Ganso's growing fragrance conversation with Perfumes y Diseño. Perfumer Fanny Bal was given the task of creating something modern and feminine, and the result is a fruity-floral built less on restraint than on warmth, a composition that takes the easy grin of its name seriously. The opening sets the tone immediately, pear sorbet and pink pepper CO2 landing with a candy-bright, almost edible quality that manages to feel playful without tipping into childish territory. Mandarin orange threads through the top, adding a citrus lift that keeps the sweetness moving. It's the kind of scent that wears its intentions on its sleeve, which feels true to a label that has always seemed more interested in charm than in mystique.
What makes the composition interesting is how the sweetness never quite overwhelms.
