From the amber of the brand's name to compositions rooted in regional sensibility, Dzintars has long threaded Latvian identity into scent. Velvet Whisper moves toward a richer, more gourmand register, committing fully to the kind of opulence that earlier releases hinted at but rarely delivered. The opening announces itself with cognac and cinnamon, a spicy, almost boozy heat that fills a room within the first few minutes.
What makes this composition worth a second look is the structural balance between a trio of textures that usually fight each other in gourmand work. Cinnamon brings dry, almost bitter warmth.
