Pure DKNY Verbena arrived in 2011, taking a direction quite different from the original PURE, which had made its mark with a socially-conscious vanilla. Verbena went tart, herbal, and African-sourced. The Togolese verbena and basil weren't decorative choices. They were sourced ingredients chosen for their specific aromatic properties, bringing a bright, green quality to the opening that feels both sharp and refreshing. The verbena lends a citrusy brightness with herbal undertones, while the basil adds an aromatic, slightly peppery green dimension.
