Why it exists.
The beginning
The name is the brief. Lime and coriander, two ingredients that have no business being polite together, and C.O. Bigelow's perfumers decided not to ask them to be. Released in 2016 as part of the Village Perfumer collection, this is one of those formulations that started with a simple premise: what happens when you let bright citrus and assertive herbs actually argue? The result doesn't hedge. It commits.
Most citrus fragrances soft-pedal their herbs, using them as seasoning. Lime Coriander puts coriander leaf, the green, slightly spicy part of the plant, not the seed, front and center. That's unusual. Pair it with basil and the green accord becomes the actual fragrance, not a supporting note. Lime gives it urgency. Mint gives it cool. The herbal heart gives it somewhere to live after the opening settles. White woods and musk keep it honest without going animal.
The evolution
