Magnifying Bergamot Essence arrived in 2021 as part of the Allegra collection, five concentrated Essences designed to layer with the house's core Eau de Parfums, or to wear alone as pure, amplified expression. The name says it all. The fragrance opens with a bracing clarity, citrus brightness that cuts clean through the air. There's no waiting for bergamot to settle into something else, it arrives already fully realized, its floral, slightly bitter character singing at full volume. This wasn't about adding complexity. It was about showing what bergamot looks like when you zoom all the way in.
Most fragrances treat bergamot as an opening act, bright, gone, forgotten. Magnifying Bergamot makes it the entire show. Calabrian bergamot carries a floral, slightly bitter quality that makes it distinct.
