A house, in its own words

Bvlgari's story began in 1884 when Sotirios Voulgaris, a Greek silversmith, founded his first shop in Rome. 'Bvlgari,' as the name became known, quickly gained recognition for its distinctive designs, drawing inspiration from Greek and Roman classicism, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th-century Roman goldsmith school. The brand’s daring use of colored gemstones and its departure from traditional jewelry styles set it apart. Throughout the 20th century, Bvlgari expanded its offerings, introducing watches, accessories, and eventually, fragrances, all while maintaining the brand's commitment to high-quality materials and exquisite artistry. The expansion into fragrance was a natural progression, allowing Bvlgari to capture and express its distinctive style through scent.

Bvlgari's philosophy in fragrance mirrors its approach to jewelry: to create something timeless, luxurious, and undeniably bold. The brand seeks to translate the glamour and sophistication of its jewelry designs into olfactory experiences. Bvlgari aims to use scent to evoke emotions, memories, and a sense of Italian elegance. They strive for a balance between classic perfumery and modern sensibilities, creating fragrances that are both sophisticated and wearable.
