MOD Vanilla arrived in 2024 as part of the Ariana Grande fragrance line, developed by Robertet perfumer Jérôme Epinette. The composition opens with dark plum and pink freesia, the fruit reading glossy and almost ripe while the freesia threads a cool floral breath through the edges. That opening doesn't sit alone for long. Orris root arrives next, powdery and slightly chalky, bringing a mineral quality that shifts the whole composition toward something more grounded. Praline follows, roasted and golden, tasting like the middle of a pastry where sugar has just begun to caramelize. The base resolves into vanilla absolute and cocoa butter, warm and almost edible, with the musk from the opening drifting back through the drydown to give everything a skin-close quality.
