Fanoos Siraj arrived in 2025 from Amaran, a house that has been steadily building its catalog with a clear point of view. The name carries its own quiet weight, and the fragrance lives up to the expectation it sets. Amaran's work tends to move between playful and regal, and this release leans firmly into the playful register. The composition stacks four fruits at the top, blackcurrant, Fuji apple, lychee, pink grapefruit, then drops them into a floral heart before landing on a base of amber, moss, musk, sugar and vanilla. It reads like a dessert menu written in perfume. The opening has a generous pour of fruit, and none of it behaves like an afterthought.
What makes the structure worth a second look is the ratio. Four fruit notes up top against a base that lists sugar and vanilla as separate entries means the sweetness was never an accident. The raspberry and wild berries in the heart keep the fruit from going flat, adding tartness that pushes back against the sugar below. The interplay between the heart and base carries most of the weight here.
