Why it exists.
The beginning
Waterways Spell dropped in 2023 from Agarthi. The composition translates an idea of water moving through hidden environments into something wearable, built around aquatic tension, green sharpness, and the mineral coolness of water in contact with stone. Bergamot and mandarin anchor the opening, their bright citrus lift playing against the cool, wet character of the aquatic accord that runs through the fragrance's core. Violet leaf absolute and green bell pepper introduce a stemmy, vegetal bitterness that keeps the water from drifting into synthetic territory, while cedar, oakmoss, lichen, and clary sage build a damp, earthy foundation underneath.
The composition earns attention for its restraint with aquatic notes. Instead of leaning on ozonic sparkle or marine cologne shortcuts, the water is grounded in green, vegetal materials.
