The Luxury Overdose line is Absolument Parfumeur's argument that subtlety is overrated. Launched in 2021, Extatic Gardenia commits fully to its thesis from the first breath: white florals, done loud. The house built the composition around gardenia as a presence that refuses to behave as a supporting note, the kind of floral that demands attention rather than whispers from behind a veil of citrus or musk. Gardenia sits at the center of the structure, flanked by rose, jasmine, and orange blossom, with amber threading through the middle pulling everything toward warmth and density. Vanilla anchors the base, adding sweetness without crossing into gourmand territory, while musk and white woods give the whole thing a clean structural spine.
What makes this composition worth attention is the gardenia-amber-rose center. Extatic Gardenia lets the gardenia dominate the stage, gives rose enough room to add dimension and lift without competing for the spotlight, and threads amber through the heart as a structural element that gives the whole thing weight and warmth.
