Mes Bisous, founded by Buse Koseoglu in 2022, approaches fragrance as storytelling. Each release arrives in book-style packaging that frames scent as narrative, turning fragrance into something you read rather than simply wear. When the house set out to create Oud Hypnotique, the ambition was clear: bottle a moment of magnetic pull, that suspended instant when attraction becomes unavoidable. To execute this vision, Mes Bisous turned to Turkish perfumer Koray Sevinç. The brief was specific in tone but open in structure, asking for a scent that could command attention without becoming aggressive. Sevinç built the composition around the idea of hypnotic force, using spices to establish intensity and woods to anchor it.

The note selection for Oud Hypnotique reflects a philosophy of controlled intensity. Spices were chosen not to overwhelm but to announce: black pepper and saffron communicate boldness, while cinnamon adds warmth that makes the boldness feel inviting rather than aggressive. The heart uses rose and grapefruit to provide contrast, introducing floral and citrus elements that prevent the opening from dictating the entire story. In the base, oud was selected for its depth and longevity, vanilla for its ability to soften without disappearing, and patchouli for the earthiness that grounds everything.
