The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Daiquiri landed in 2025 from Youssoful. This one is named for the cocktail, which means it is not subtle. The brand pulled the reference from a Cuban afternoon: citrus and mint, cane-sugar sweetness implied through orange and a mojito accord, then the humidity of a coastline that doesn't cool off when the sun drops. The composition translates that into a scent you can almost taste, bright at the top, wet and green in the middle, and grounded by something warmer that lingers long after the first impression fades. Daiquiri opens with a burst of orange and lemon layered over peppermint, the mojito accord adding a sweet, herbal lift that reads like a handful of fresh mint torn over ice.
The mojito accord does a lot of work here. The herbal lift in the opening reads as crushed mint rather than confection, giving the top a cooling snap that separates it from the average citrus splash. Lemon provides the acidic bite, orange rounds it out with a sweeter, almost juicy warmth, and peppermint slides in underneath like a current of cold air, present but not aggressive. The aquatic and marine notes in the heart do the heavy lifting, giving the composition a wet-skin humidity that most citrus-aquatic fragrances chase but rarely land.
The evolution
Daiquiri is all spectacle in the opening. Orange, lemon, and that mojito accord hit at the same time, bright and slightly fizzy, the way a drink looks when the ice hasn't melted yet. There's a sweetness here that comes from the fruit rather than sugar, and the peppermint underneath gives it a cooling edge that reads as ocean spray more than toothpaste. The fizz settles, and the composition begins to reveal its quieter layers. The aquatic and marine notes settle into a salt-skin humidity, joined by eucalyptus and a quiet jasmine that never fully announces itself but adds a soft warmth to the cool green character. Lily of the valley adds a clean floral static, the kind that makes the air around you feel cleaner than it actually is, and the whole heart phase feels less like wearing a fragrance and more like standing inside a particular kind of weather.
Cultural impact
Daiquiri is a 2025 release that leans into aquatic-citrus territory, an accord family that has become a staple of warm-weather fragrance wardrobes. The cocktail-naming convention places it in a lineup of concept-driven scents, where the reference point isn't just decorative but shapes the entire composition. The fragrance wears like a mood, less a signature scent and more a specific feeling bottled into liquid form.
