The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Sophie Labbe composed Love Moments for Tous in 2014 as part of the Love TOUS Moments collection, a line built on the premise that love itself is the most fun feeling. The brief was clear: translate the flutter of romantic anticipation, those butterflies-in-stomach moments, into something wearable. Labbe built the fragrance around the tension between sparkling citruses and soft florals, opening bright and finishing warm. Tous's official copy puts it plainly: living is the most beautiful madness, and everything has its moment. This is the moment that smells like pink.
What makes Love Moments interesting is how it handles the handoff from top to base. The pink grapefruit and pink pepper create an immediate sparkle, bright, almost fizzy, but the heart of raspberry, violet, and lily of the valley softens that energy into something tender. The real character lives in the base: iris gives it that unmistakable powdery quality, while sandalwood and cedar keep it grounded and creamy rather than flat. Musk binds everything to skin. It's a composition that earns its longevity by being soft enough to wear close, interesting enough to notice.
The evolution
The opening hits first, pink grapefruit and a whisper of pink pepper, citrusy and awake. Within minutes, raspberry arrives and the florals follow: violet's sweetness, lily of the valley's quiet green edge. The fruit stays present through the heart, keeping things lively. Then the iris takes over. The powdery quality doesn't ambush you, it arrives gently, settling over the raspberry like a fine dust. Cedar and sandalwood provide warmth underneath. By the end, you're left with soft powder, skin-warm wood, and a hint of musk. On most skin, this lasts 4-6 hours, intimate sillage, close enough that someone standing near you might catch it.
Cultural impact
Love Moments sits comfortably in the tradition of cheerful Spanish fragrance, bright, approachable, and made for everyday joy rather than occasions. It doesn't shout. It wears close, lasts moderate hours, and suits someone who wants presence without projection. The 2014 launch date places it squarely in the era of accessible fruity-florals, positioning it alongside peers like Chance Eau Tendre, but with its own powdery iris drydown keeping it distinct.
