White Temple launched in 2026, the latest addition to The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression collection. The composition comes from perfumer Mahsam Raza, who built it around a sense of architectural tension: the cool, mineral clarity of white tea and labdanum stacked against the warmth of tobacco, vanilla, and white oud. On skin, those two registers meet without ever quite resolving into each other. The white tea reads clean and faintly green, almost steeped in cold spring water, while labdanum adds a quiet resinous hum beneath it. As the hours pass, the warmer notes surface slowly, tobacco leaf arriving as a dry, slightly sweet counterpoint, bourbon vanilla lending a creamy fullness, and white oud anchoring the base with a woody, faintly animalic depth.
What makes the composition worth noticing is the pairing of materials you don't usually see together. Minerals and white tea at the top create an almost geological opening, clean, weightless, slightly saline. Then labdanum threads through, carrying that ambered warmth into the heart where white copal resin and suede take over. Copal brings a smoky, almost ecclesiastical quality.
