The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Juice Of Golden Fruits arrived in 2026 from The Dua Brand, composed by Mahsam Raza. It belongs to the Inspired Expression collection, a line that brings together compositions with their own distinct point of view. The idea here is fruit, specifically the messy, complicated kind. Durian sits at the top, a note with a reputation all its own, and one that immediately sets the tone for everything that follows. Mango and rhubarb sweeten the entry without softening it, lending a syrupy weight that wraps around the sharper edges of the opening. There's a candied quality to the way the mango lands, almost sticky, while the rhubarb cuts through with a tart green snap that keeps the sweetness from becoming one-note. The result is a fragrance that doesn't ask permission to be tropical.
What makes the composition unusual is the durian. Here it gets paired with mango, which softens its rougher edges while letting the fruit's character remain front and center. The osmanthus absolute in the heart brings a ripe, almost apricot-like floral quality that bridges fruit and flower with surprising ease. There's a lactonic creaminess to the osmanthus that rounds out the sharper fruit notes above it, and it lingers in the middle phase like a warm breeze carrying the scent of overripe stone fruit from a nearby orchard.
The evolution
The first five minutes are the loudest. Durian announces itself with a dense, almost funky presence underneath the smoother mango, with rhubarb adding a tart green edge that cuts through the richness. It reads almost savory at first, the kind of opening that makes you check whether you actually like it. Then osmanthus arrives, and the sharper edges melt into something peachy and floral. White flowers and solar notes create a bright, hazy quality, like walking through a greenhouse at midday where the light diffuses through humid glass and everything smells faintly of nectar. The transition from the opening fruit blast to this softer, sunnier phase happens gradually, almost like watching a storm clear into a warm afternoon. After about an hour the caramel and almond begin to take over, and the fragrance shifts from tropical fruit to something warmer, almost praline-like.
Cultural impact
Juice Of Golden Fruits stands out for its commitment to durian as a lead note, a choice that immediately distinguishes it from the majority of fruity fragrances on the market. Most compositions that lean tropical tend to play it safe with mango, pineapple, or coconut, steering clear of ingredients with stronger reputations. The fragrance draws comparisons to Borntostandout's Gold Juice, placing it within a small but notable cluster of bold, fruity releases that prioritize character over crowd-pleasing. There's something refreshing about a scent that commits fully to its premise without softening its edges for broader appeal.
