The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Vision arrived in 2017 as part of Symétrie's debut collection, being marketed by FragranceNet.com, Inc. The brand's concept leans on single-word names that read as emotional states rather than literal descriptions, and Vision sits squarely in that frame: the scent of looking forward, of clarity, of a moment just before something happens. The composition itself reads crisp from the first beat. Mint and lavender lead the charge up top, a pairing that carries the same sharpness as a window thrown open on a cold morning. Beneath that, blue sage and coriander add an herbal depth that grounds the brightness without dulling it. The lavender arrives with that familiar aromatic lift, but the mint underneath keeps everything elevated, almost suspended in cool air rather than settling onto skin.
What gives Vision its particular character is the deliberate balance between freshness and warmth. The green-mint opening reads almost aquatic in its clarity, but the base notes of musk, cedar, and amber keep the whole thing tethered to skin rather than air. Coriander is the most quietly interesting choice in the pyramid. It bridges the bright top with the herbal heart without ever announcing itself, lending a peppery green undertone that keeps the lavender from going barbershop-generic.
The evolution
The first minutes belong to the mint. It's cold and green, sitting close to the nose with a sharpness that feels more like breathing winter air than wearing cologne. The lavender joins quickly, softening the blast without warming it up. This phase reads as cleanly as anything in the aromatic category: a polished, fresh, no-nonsense opening. The mint carries an almost crystalline quality, edged but not aggressive, while the lavender wraps around it with that familiar herbal softness. There's a wet green character underneath both, almost like crushed leaves held up to the face. As the opening settles, the green notes start to recede and the sage-coriander-orange blossom heart takes over. This is where the fragrance changes register, from cool to herbal, from bright to grounded.
Cultural impact
Vision earns attention through balance rather than through any single standout note. The fragrance combines mint, lavender, blue sage, coriander, orange blossom, cedar, amber, and musk into a composition that reads fresh without veering into purely aquatic territory and reads herbal without becoming overly sharp. The coriander-blue sage combination is the element that gives it character, adding an herbal complexity to the heart phase that the mint-lavender top alone would lack. What makes the composition work is how the notes support each other rather than competing.
