The beginning
Legend by Sapil presents a direct aromatic idea: citrus, spice, and woods arranged around a mineral heart. It’s built for high noon and the kind of entrance that feels immediate, but the formula beneath that bold surface has plenty to reward a closer look. Grapefruit and orange establish a bright opening, their juicy freshness cut by black pepper’s dry warmth. Flint introduces a cooler, stony edge before the fragrance settles into benzoin, cedar, patchouli, and vetiver. The appeal comes from that contrast. Citrus keeps the top sparkling, pepper prevents it from feeling flat, and the mineral character gives the composition a clean, grounded center. As the softer notes develop, Legend becomes warmer and more restrained, moving from an energetic burst to a polished woody base.
At the heart, pelargonium brings a sharp green character with a lightly rosy facet, while black pepper adds dry heat and a clean bite. Those notes meet the mineral impression introduced by flint, creating a crisp middle phase that feels cool at its edges and warm underneath.
