The beginning
Inspire Your Mind for Him launched in 2023 as the men's counterpart to the women's release of the same name, part of Reebok's entry into fragrance. The composition came together under Guillaume Flavigny, a perfumer who brought a precise, structured hand to the build. The scent itself reads as a focused, clear-eyed fragrance, leaning into the sharp moment before momentum kicks in. There's a clarity to the formula that's less about noise and more about intent. The fragrance presents itself quietly but with confidence, offering something for the guy who wants to smell intentional rather than loud. It's built around a clean citrus-woods framework with enough unusual touches in the heart to keep things interesting over a full day of wear.
What makes the structure unusual is the placement of cactus in the heart. It's an unexpected ingredient, and it brings a mineral, almost watery quality that cuts through what would otherwise read as a straightforward fougère. Brazilian rosewood and cypriol give the middle a woody backbone with real depth, layering creamy and earthy textures against the sharper notes below them. The yuzu-citron-lavender top is familiar territory, but the white pepper underneath adds a sharpness that keeps the citrus from going soft.
The evolution
The first fifteen minutes are sharp. Yuzu and citron hit cold and quick, with white pepper adding heat at the edges and lavender rounding it into something clean rather than clinical. Acai berry is faint here, more suggestion than fruit, adding a dark fruity shadow that keeps the opening from reading too bright. By the thirty-minute mark, the cactus and cypriol start to take over. This is where the fragrance shifts from sport to something earthier, the green-mineral cool of the cactus settling in alongside cypriol's smoky root quality. Brazilian rosewood adds a creamy woodiness that softens the pepper and bridges into the warmer territory ahead. The drydown settles into amber, vanilla, and amyris over the second hour, building a warm, slightly sweet base that stays close to skin.
