The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Cool Your Body arrived in 2022, marking a collaboration between Reebok and Tailored Perfumes. Perfumer Jordi Fernández worked to build a composition that opens sharp and resolves cool, with citrus, lavender, and aquatic notes threading into something wearable rather than performative. The citrus delivers an immediate brightness that feels invigorating without being overpowering, while the lavender adds a measured herbal quality that grounds the blend and prevents it from drifting into generic territory. The aquatic notes introduce a clean, airy dimension that lingers in the background, giving the fragrance a sense of openness and breathability. The overall effect is understated yet present, appealing to those who want a fragrance that complements rather than dominates.
The structure is deliberate in its restraint. Blood orange and mandarin do the work instead, giving brightness without the burn. The lavender grounds what could be a generic citrus opening and keeps it from smelling like cleaning product. At the heart, the apple note is a smart choice: fruity without sweetness overload, bridging the sharp top and the warmer base. White amber is the quiet win, it gives skin a soft warmth without projecting, which is exactly what a moderate-sillage fragrance needs.
The evolution
The opening hits within seconds, blood orange and mandarin arrive bright and direct, with lavender arriving a moment behind to temper the citrus. There's no slow build here; it announces itself clearly. Within twenty minutes, the marine notes and apple take over, and the scent softens into something aquatic and clean. The orange blossom appears mid-drydown, adding a faint floral edge that keeps it from smelling flat. By the second hour, patchouli and tonka bean have settled in, the white amber giving the whole thing a skin-close warmth. Around hour three, it begins to fade, leaving just a faint trace of patchouli and citrus on fabric.
Cultural impact
Cool Your Body sits squarely in the accessible athletic fragrance category, built for daily wear rather than special occasions. For someone who wants a scent that smells like effort and recovery without any of the pretension, this delivers. The composition blends citrus and aromatic notes with a clean, grounded character rather than leaning heavily into aquatic territory. The lavender note keeps things grounded instead of purely fresh, giving the fragrance more dimension than a straightforward workout scent.
