Pitch Black arrived in 2007 from OXGN, a fragrance brand marketed by Golden ABC, Inc. The name leans into a clear instinct: dark, confident, unapologetic. The composition leans aromatic and fresh, with mint and rosemary doing the bright work up top, a marine-lavender heart that reads clean without smelling synthetic, and a patchouli-musk base that gives it a grounded finish. Up close, the opening is brisk and herbaceous, almost like pressing your nose into a bundle of fresh rosemary and pulling back to find the mint threading through it. The heart softens that sharpness with a cool, slightly salty quality from the sea notes, while the lavender adds a clean, herbal smoothness that keeps the whole thing from feeling sharp.
