Morning in Grasse is My Geisha's tribute to that legacy, a fragrance built around the floral notes that have defined the region's reputation. The composition opens with a lift of citrus, bright tangerine and lemon that give the first spray a clean, almost translucent quality before the florals begin to surface. A thread of rose weaves in early, soft and slightly dewy, setting the stage for a heart that grows more substantial as the minutes pass. Peony settles into the center, its cool, rounded character giving the bouquet a gentle architecture.
The composition leans on a pairing that does real work: tart fruit wrapped around a classic floral heart, then grounded by creamy wood. Blackcurrant and raspberry read almost edible at first, but the peony keeps them from tipping into dessert territory. Sandalwood and amber hold the whole thing in a low, warm register.
