The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Golden Frutti is Kaliisma's 2026 dive into unapologetic fruit-forward perfumery, and the house handed the wheel to Margaux Le Paih-Guérin. The brief, as far as the composition reveals it, was simple: take fruit and stop apologizing for it. Not a candy. Not a dessert. A burst of ripe, golden, sun-warmed fruit that knows exactly what it is. Le Paih-Guérin built it around a four-fruit heart, green apple, pineapple, raspberry, strawberry, and wrapped that sweetness in a citrus-and-pepper opening sharp enough to cut through the sugar. The citrus notes give it that first bright snap, almost like peeling an orange in warm air, while the pink pepper brings a flicker of heat that keeps the whole thing from reading as simple sweetness.
The structural choice here is what makes Golden Frutti substantial. Le Paih-Guérin anchored the base in musk and woody notes, and she let the pink pepper do real work across the composition. It opens the fragrance with that bright, almost-spicy lift, but its warmth threads through the fruit heart and keeps everything from collapsing into simple sweetness. You can smell the pepper even as the strawberry and raspberry are at their softest, a faint hum of heat underneath the jam. The result is fruit that smells grown, fruit with a spine.
The evolution
The opening is all citrus and lift. Bergamot and orange do their bright, sunlit thing, and the pink pepper is right there with them, a clean shimmer of heat that makes the first moments feel less like a fruit cocktail and more like the air just before a summer storm. There's something almost electric in those first seconds, a brightness that prickles at the edges of the citrus rather than settling into anything flat. The fruit arrives quickly and announces itself without hesitation. Green apple hits first with its tart, almost-crisp edge, then pineapple folds in with something rounder and more tropical, and the raspberry and strawberry arrive behind them, adding a soft, jammy sweetness that never quite takes over.
Cultural impact
Golden Frutti arrives with a clear point of view: vivid, unapologetic fruit, held together by a musk-woody base that keeps the composition from floating away. The citrus-and-pepper opening hits immediately, the fruit heart blooms within minutes, and the grounded base waits patiently underneath to give the whole thing weight. That pairing, brightness above and warmth below, gives the scent its personality. It's playful in the way the pineapple and raspberry are playful, but the musk and woods pull it toward something more grown.
