Violet leaf carries a metallic, cucumber-cool snap that cuts through the creamy vanilla below with surprising precision. Pairing it with vanilla in the base is the unexpected move. The violet reads almost aquatic, like crushed mint leaves steeped in cold water, while the vanilla wraps around it like a low hum of warmth.

The evolution

The first ten minutes belong to bergamot and violet leaf. Bergamot opens bright and almost bitter, like the zest torn from the rind, while violet leaf cuts underneath with a green, slightly metallic coolness. Lavender settles in fast, herbal and clean, the kind of note that feels like cold laundry dried outside. Geranium takes over around the twenty-minute mark, green and rose-edged, keeping the freshness alive while adding a subtle floral lift that stops the lavender from reading too barbershop.
