Freesia & Pear

What makes this work is the rhubarb. Most pear-and-freesia compositions lean entirely into softness, the kind of fragrance that exists as a pleasant backdrop. Jenny Glow inserted a tart, green edge that cuts through the sweetness and gives the heart something to bite against. The freesia doesn't float aimlessly; it's anchored by that vegetal tension. The evolution

The opening is bright and translucent, almost sheer enough to feel like a whisper rather than a statement. Bergamot and orange blossom flicker at the edges while pear dominates the center, its sweetness tempered by a clean, green quality. Then the freesia arrives, not as an explosion but as a gradual filling-in, like watercolor bleeding across wet paper.
