Watch Oudh arrived in 2021 as a collaboration between Fugazzi and Amsterdam Vintage Watches. Fugazzi built the scent, and the watch house joined the project as a partner. The result leans into oudh as the dominant voice, a material that already carries centuries of trade-route history before it ever touches skin. Pepper joins it at the top, not for heat exactly, but for that immediate spark, the olfactory equivalent of checking your watch before a meeting that matters. The oud itself arrives with a dense, almost lacquered quality, the kind of resinous depth that fills a room before you've taken three steps. There's a mineral edge underneath, something faintly metallic that grounds the composition and keeps it from drifting into pure sweetness.
What makes Watch Oudh interesting is how unembarrassed it is about its gourmand lean.
