The pairing of rose with saffron in the opening is unusual, rose often anchors the heart, not the first impression. Here it arrives immediately, sweet and deep before the saffron's spice has fully unfurled, creating an opening that feels both warm and slightly metallic, like blood orange zest. The oud arrives later in the drydown rather than announcing itself upfront, which lets the amber and incense carry the middle ground with something closer to patience. Benzoin adds a vanillic warmth without sweetness, a resinous softness that behaves more like a texture than a note.
