Why it exists.
The beginning
Stra-fiGo arrived in 2023 from Ermetiche Fragranze. The Italian copy presents a fragrance built on physical, almost declarative energy: the fig exploding in every form it can take, the green leaf, the white milk, the sugary flesh, the instinct of appetite made literal through scent. Magnolia absolute brings floral architecture to the composition, dense and waxy rather than the typical white-flower whisper. Pimento throws heat, a peppery warmth that cuts through the green and the cream without burning. Vanilla and amber woods warm the floor, giving the drydown a soft, resinous grounding. And then civet enters, an animalic note that adds magnetic depth and keeps the whole thing from drifting into purely edible territory.
What makes Stra-fiGo distinctive is the fig milk note sitting alongside actual fig fruit and fig leaf, three dimensions of the same plant treated as separate characters. The fig leaf brings the bitter, vegetal snap, sharp and slightly astringent, the part of the plant that hasn't yet sweetened into fruit. The fig fruit itself contributes the ripe, jammy sweetness, that sugary flesh element that grounds the composition in something recognizable. The fig milk note bridges the two, lactonic and creamy, pulling the green and the sweet into a single thread.
The evolution
The first ten minutes belong to the green. Clementine cuts through quickly, bright and acidic, but the fig leaf takes over fast, sharp, vegetal, almost bitter. There's a quality here of unripe fruit pulled straight from the branch, leaves and all, and the green stays assertive for the first hour. Around the thirty-minute mark, the heart begins to surface. Magnolia absolute arrives creamy and waxy, not the delicate white-flower version most people expect. The fig milk note opens up alongside it, lactonic and soft, sweet without being sugary. Caribbean pimento simmers underneath, building warmth without heat. By the third hour, the composition has shifted into something warmer and more intimate. The civet starts to register, not loud, not fecal, but present, a soft animalic hum that gives the skin-musk quality its character.

Stra-fiGo enters the fig fragrance category with a notably aggressive profile, one that prioritizes the green, the bitter, and the animalic over the soft and creamy. The composition opens with fig leaf at full volume, an unapologetic vegetal sharpness that announces the fragrance's intentions before any sweetness arrives. Where many fig-centered fragrances lean toward the edible, the milky, the comforting, Stra-fiGo keeps the lactonic element in check, letting the fig milk serve as a bridge rather than the destination.
