The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Earth Capricorn was born from CnR Create's ambition to give each zodiac sign its own aromatic compass. In 2011 perfumer Olivier Funel translated the earth sign's steady, ambitious nature into scent, choosing camellia and orchid to echo Capricorn's crisp clarity, while weaving in rose and jasmine for romantic depth and angelica for grounded complexity. The fragrance reads like an olfactory biography of someone who plans meticulously but feels deeply.
Each note in Earth Capricorn serves the zodiac narrative. Camellia and orchid evoke the clarity and restraint associated with earth signs while the rose and jasmine heart acknowledges romantic capacity without surrendering composure. The warm drydown of ambrette seed, clove, and ylang-ylang represents the slow burn of ambition finally realized. Tog ether they create a fragrance that feels both strategic and sensuous.
The evolution
The opening of camellia and orchid establishes a refined, almost austere elegance. As the fragrance develops, angelica and currant blossom introduce unexpected complexity before jasmine and rose claim their territory. The drydown of ambrette seed, clove, and ylang-ylang completes a journey that mirrors the Capricorn archetype: deliberate, layered, and ultimately warm when you least expect it.
Cultural impact
Since its 2011 debut, Earth Capricorn has become a staple for collectors drawn to the zodiac series, often cited alongside Air Gemini and Earth Taurus as a balanced floral‑spicy option. Its restrained sillage and moderate longevity make it a favorite for Intimate gatherings, while its astrological narrative fuels online discussions among sign‑focused fragrance communities.
