The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Seniorita So Excite arrived in 2023 from the Dubai-based Camara Perfumes house, a label that opened its first workshop in 2016 and built its catalogue around accessible, mood-driven compositions. The Seniorita line in particular leans into sweetness and modern femininity, with each release designed to feel like a capsule of energy rather than a studied exercise in perfumery. So Excite sits at the juicier, more gourmand end of that range, built for someone who wants presence without pretense. It targets the floral-fruity-gourmand intersection where raspberry meets white florals meets cream, and doesn't apologize for any of them.
What makes the composition worth noticing is the way raspberry and tuberose share the opening, an unusual pairing that puts a fruit note and a notoriously narcotic floral on equal footing. Neither dominates. The raspberry brings brightness and a candy-like lift, while tuberose adds the creamy, almost carnal depth that stops it from reading as juvenile. Milk in the heart further softens that tension, turning the whole mid-phase into something that smells like skin after dessert. It's a deliberate blurring of categories, fruity florals colliding with lactonic gourmand.
The evolution
The first 30 minutes are loud and sweet, raspberry tumbling over tuberose in a near-edible rush that sits closer to body spray than fine fragrance. Somewhere around the two-hour mark, the milk and the orange blossom pull it inward, and the composition gets quieter, creamier, more deliberate. The white florals and the raspberry settle into a shared space where neither is fully identifiable. By hour four the vanilla and musk take over, and the scent becomes warm, slightly ambery, with a lingering trace of jasmine that keeps it from going purely gourmand. The projection is moderate for the first couple of hours, then settles close to skin. On fabric the next morning, the milk-vanilla base is what remains, soft and faintly sweet, with a trace of floral that refuses to fully disappear.
Cultural impact
Seniorita So Excite slots into the late-2020s wave of sweet, gourmand-adjacent florals that traded the sharp, musky aesthetics of the previous decade for unfiltered sugar and cream. It's not built for the niche audience chasing restraint, and that's its appeal. Within Camara's own catalogue, it sits alongside fruit-forward and floral-rich releases like Freeze Pear Me Up and Camara Mystic Rose, sharing their uncomplicated sweetness. The wearer is someone who wants their fragrance to do the flirting for them, and So Excite obliges without irony.
