Why it exists.

Jérôme Epinette crafted Vibrant Leather Éclat de Bergamote in 2021. The brief was clear: warm woody notes on one side, the intensity of leather on the other, with citrus keeping everything awake. The opening burst of citrus energizes the senses before the leather accord arrives, rich and modern. Woody undertones ground the composition, creating a balance between freshness and depth that feels intentional. It's the kind of scent that feels considered from first spray to the final moments lingering on the skin.
What makes this composition interesting is the way the citrus doesn't just sit at the top and disappear. Orange and bergamot arrive together, bright and almost tart, then shift as the leather accord enters. The tonka bean in the heart adds a sweetness that keeps the leather from feeling harsh. It's a balancing act, Zara called it that in the official copy, and the execution holds.
