The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Night Aura arrived in 2023 from The House of Miraj, a Moroccan fragrance house associated with perfumer Abderrahim Larhrissi. Night Aura was created as a composition inspired by the mysterious allure of night. Its central idea is immediate: fruit, spice, and warmth moving from brightness into shadow. Cherry and bitter almond create the opening temptation, while saffron and cinnamon sharpen the heart. Amber and suede then pull everything closer to skin, giving the composition a soft, low-lit finish. Nothing here is loud for its own sake. The drama comes from contrast, with sweetness carrying just enough bitterness to remain intriguing rather than syrupy.
The unusual part of Night Aura is how casually its opposites work together. Cherry supplies bright, polished fruit, while bitter almond introduces a darker, slightly medicinal edge. Saffron and cinnamon bring aromatic warmth without turning the composition into a straightforward sweet spice scent. Suede and amber change the register again, replacing the opening's fruit with something soft, tactile, and close to skin. That sequence gives the fragrance unusual movement. It can read as sensual and polished early on, then darker and more intimate as it dries down.
The evolution
Night Aura begins with a clean flash of cherry and bitter almond, bright and immediately legible. The fruit softens as saffron and cinnamon take over, adding dry spice and a warm, elegant heat. The cherry's sweet, rounded quality takes on a drier edge here, while the almond introduces a faint bitterness that keeps the opening from reading as simple. Then suede and amber draw the composition inward. The sweetness remains, but it takes on a darker, powdery texture, like the last warmth left on suede after a late night out. Amber appears to outlast the brighter notes, leaving a soft amber trail with a faint almond memory behind it. As the fragrance wears on, the initial fruit brightness recedes further into the background, and the warmer, spicier middle settles more comfortably against the skin before the suede-and-amber accord takes hold as the lingering final impression.
Cultural impact
Night Aura presents a contemporary Moroccan fragrance built around contrast rather than decoration. The opening pair of cherry and bitter almond is immediately readable, but the fruit is quickly complicated by dry saffron and cinnamon, and the composition eventually settles into the softer, darker register of suede and amber. What emerges is a scent with warmth and polish at its core, one that rewards attention to how its notes shift and change over time.
