The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Treasure Femme in Love arrived in 2025 as part of The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression line, a series that reimagines well-known designer profiles through the brand's own creative lens. The formula echoes the soft-romantic architecture of Lancôme's Trésor in Love, capturing that same easy, sunlit feeling with a nectarine and pear opening that drifts into a jasmine-rose heart, then settles into a base of cedarwood and musk. The fruit notes do the initial lifting work, juicy and rounded, while the florals add a delicate, slightly creamy warmth at the center. Beneath all of it, cedarwood lends a clean, woody backbone and musk smooths the edges into something that feels close to skin.
The interesting move here is restraint. Nectarine, pear, and bergamot form a fruit-citrine opening that could easily tip into candy-sweet territory, but pink pepper cuts the sugar with a clean, almost mineral sharpness. There's a slight tartness from the bergamot that keeps the fruit feeling fresh rather than syrupy, and the pear adds a soft, dewy sweetness that bridges the citrus into the floral phase. The jasmine-rose heart reads as a deliberate echo of classical perfumery, softened by jasmine's indolic warmth rather than sharpened by it.
The evolution
On skin, the opening announces itself within the first 10 minutes: bergamot brightness, nectarine juice, and pear's green sweetness, all sharpened by pink pepper's dry bite. It smells like a ripe stone fruit split open in cool morning air, with that fleeting citrus sparkle cutting through the juice. The fruit fades gradually, and around the 30-minute mark, jasmine and rose step forward. The rose reads as a classic, full-bodied floral, dense and gently sweet in the way good rose absolute tends to feel, while jasmine adds a creamy warmth underneath that gives the heart a soft, almost sunlit glow. This is the most classically feminine phase, the one that earns the name. The jasmine's indolic edge is present but well-blended, more suggestive than sharp, and the rose sits at the center like a focal point around which the jasmine orbits. After about 2 hours, cedarwood and musk take over.
Cultural impact
Treasure Femme in Love occupies a specific lane in the fragrance market: the fruity-floral that doesn't try to be groundbreaking. The composition draws clear inspiration from Lancôme's Trésor in Love, referencing that soft-romantic energy with a nectarine and pear opening, a jasmine-rose heart, and a cedarwood-musk base. The clean, musky drydown and restrained sweetness give it a versatile character, the kind of scent that works across seasons and settings without demanding attention. The fruit notes provide an approachable entry point, while the florals add a touch of romance, and the woody-musky base keeps everything grounded.
