Why it exists.
The beginning
The Dua Brand launched Poseidon's Vert Casino in 2020, perfumer Mahsam Raza reaching for a specific kind of alchemy: one bottle carrying the DNA of three reference scents at once. The house calls it a tribrid, a stitch-work of Green Irish Tweed's clean green sharpness, Aventus's fruited swagger, and the dense ambered glow of BR 540 Extrait. Poseidon's Vert pulls the river of those three without naming any of them outright. The fruit lands bright and recognizable right away, pineapple and apple announcing themselves with that signature Aventus-coded snap, sharpened rather than softened by the citrus burst of lemon and blackcurrant. Verbena and violet thread a green-cool line through the top, giving the whole thing an iris-rooted lift that pulls away from simple sweetness.
What makes this composition interesting is the sheer range of materials compressed into a single Fruity Woody Musk structure. Eighteen listed notes sit layered across the formula, ranging from lemon and verbena to bitter almond and saffron, from birch and cedar to sandalwood and patchouli, with ambergris and vanilla sealing the base. Each material carries weight individually, but the real trick is how they hand off to one another without ever stepping on what came before.
The evolution
The opening hits before the bottle cap is back on the shelf. Pineapple and apple burst first, bright and almost aggressive, backed by lemon and blackcurrant that sharpen the fruit rather than sweeten it. Verbena adds a green lift that catches you off guard, more garden than glass. As the first phase settles, the fruit still leads, but jasmine, iris, and violet begin pulling things inward, powdering the edges, softening the snap. Bitter almond and saffron slide through underneath, adding a marzipan warmth that didn't announce itself but is suddenly everywhere. The transition from top to heart feels like watching a color shift on fabric under different lights: same composition, completely different read. By the time the composition fully settles, the green-fruity brightness has handed off almost entirely.

Poseidon's Vert Casino sits at the intersection of three highly recognizable scent profiles, green-fruity, woody-ambered, and bright-citrus, and manages to keep all three readable in a single composition. The green sharpness comes through in the verbena, violet, and iris. The fruited swagger lands through pineapple, apple, and blackcurrant. The ambered glow pours from ambergris, resins, vanilla, and musk.
