The composition opens the way a confident daytime fragrance should: with a stacked citrus salvo up top, where bergamot, grapefruit, green mandarin, and the green-fruity snap of blackcurrant bud all arrive at once, each one playing a slightly different angle of brightness. The middle notes pull the energy downward through vetiver's dry rootiness and geranium's aromatic greenery, and the base settles into ambergris, cashmere wood, and a broader woody accord that gives the whole thing weight.
What makes this composition worth a second look is the specific tension between its top and base. The opening reads as a four-citrus-and-bud salvo: bergamot, grapefruit, green mandarin, and the green-fruity sharpness of blackcurrant bud.
