The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Forever Yours arrived in 2024 as part of The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression line, a collection of fragrances that takes inspiration from well-known compositions and reimagines them. The house works from a familiar playbook: study a scent that has earned attention, then build something that captures its character using materials that keep the final bottle within reach for people who aren't collecting as a hobby. This particular release traces its lineage to Mizensir's For Your Love, a composition from an independent house with a quiet, considered approach to perfumery. Perfumer Mahsam Raza led the formula, and the result is a scent that sits comfortably in The Dua Brand's catalog while retaining the sensibility of the work that inspired it.
What makes Forever Yours interesting is how restrained its pyramid is for a 2024 release. Raspberry is the single top note, and it's given room to speak. The heart stacks Cachalox and Exaltone, two musk molecules that carry the warm, ambery body of the composition without leaning on traditional naturals. The base is just benzoin and patchouli. Nothing ornamental. No decorative florals padded in for breadth.
The evolution
The first ten minutes belong entirely to raspberry, and not in a candy way. It reads more like crushed fruit pulp, tart enough to register before the sweetness settles. There's a wet, almost staining quality to it, the kind of raspberry that leaves color on your fingers rather than dissolving into syrup. Cachalox and Exaltone move in by the thirty-minute mark, and this is where the composition shifts from fruity to something more animalic and warm. The musk molecules bring a soft, skinlike undertone that grounds the fruit, and the raspberry doesn't disappear. It just gets absorbed into the warm fabric of the composition, turning from a standalone note into a sweetness that seems to come from skin rather than fruit. As the musk settles, the raspberry begins to read less as a distinct note and more as a quality of the warmth around it.
Cultural impact
Forever Yours traces to Mizensir's For Your Love, a reference point that signals a taste for understated, skin-first compositions rather than loud, projecting ones. The Dua Brand's interpretation brings that sensibility to a wider audience, which matters because compositions rooted in quiet, close-to-the-skin warmth tend to live in a smaller corner of the market. For people drawn to soft, warm, intimate scents who want the character of that style of perfumery without the barriers that often come with it, this is a release that makes that kind of fragrance more reachable.
