The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Tania Bulhões spent years translating memory into objects before turning to scent. The brand is rooted in the designer's upbringing between the cities and countryside of Minas Gerais. Fragrance arrived in 2010, but the approach never changed: name things for what they actually are. Tangerina Verde. Lavanda. Chá Branco. White tea is the subject here, not a metaphor. Regina Paulon Devecchi built the composition around that clarity, creating an aromatic study rather than a traditional floral. The fragrance doesn't try to improve on the note. It just holds it long enough to notice. The delicate green aroma unfolds quietly, like morning light catching the edges of fresh leaves, inviting the wearer into a moment of quiet observation and simple beauty.
White tea carries a natural bitterness that most perfumers either soften into oblivion or ignore entirely. Here it reads clean and slightly green, like the air before a morning fog lifts. The rose doesn't try to cover anything. It layers over the top, adding elegance without sweetness. The tonka bean and musk together do something interesting: they make the composition powdery without going dry, warm without going heavy.
The evolution
The opening arrives fresh and aromatic, the white tea bright without sharpness. It holds for a while before the rose begins to breathe through it, softening what was crisp. The hand-off is gradual, almost gentle. The musk surfaces, warm and clean, making the rose smell more like a memory of rose than a fresh bouquet. The tonka bean doesn't announce itself. It arrives quietly, adding a powdery sweetness that rounds everything into a soft, skin-close finish. The drydown settles into something intimate that feels close and present.
Cultural impact
White tea has long been appreciated for its subtle, refined character, offering a quiet sophistication that appeals to those seeking understated elegance. Chá Branco captures this essence, creating a wearable fragrance that speaks to a preference for refined simplicity. The scent embodies a quiet luxury, inviting moments of calm sophistication without demanding attention.
