The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Floral Delight arrived in 2024 as part of Parfois’s first perfume collection, a move that took the Portuguese fashion and accessories brand into fragrance. Its official description places it within Collection Le Jardin, where the range is presented as roll-on floral perfumes made with a 100% glass component. The name suggests a bouquet, but the composition is less about one flower than the way several familiar moods overlap: peach brightness, ylang-ylang sensuality, jasmine softness, cedar structure, moss, and vanilla. There’s no named perfumer or documented origin story, so the clearest beginning is the scent itself, built for everyday discovery.
What makes Floral Delight interesting is the balance between its polished floral center and its slightly grounded base. Ylang-ylang gives the opening a creamy, expressive quality, while grapefruit and peach bring light citrus and soft fruit. Jasmine carries the floral heart, cedar adds a clean woody edge, and moss prevents vanilla from turning overly plush. The result isn’t a single dramatic bouquet. It’s a small edit of bright, sensual, green, and warm notes, designed to shift with the wearer’s skin and the hour.
The evolution
At the beginning, grapefruit and peach lift ylang-ylang into a sparkling, creamy opening. The fruit feels lively against the floral warmth, like sunlight on a silk blouse. As the scent settles, jasmine moves forward and becomes the main character, soft but not weightless. Cedar adds a measured, woody line through the middle, giving the floral accord a little structure. Toward the drydown, moss and vanilla take over. Vanilla keeps the finish sweet and skin-like, while moss leaves a darker, earthy trace beneath it. By roughly 4-6 hours, Floral Delight becomes a quieter blend of vanilla, moss, and soft wood, with the earlier peach brightness mostly gone. The final impression is warmer and more grounded than the opening, like a floral that has stepped out of the garden and into the room.
Cultural impact
Floral Delight sits within Parfois’s Versailles-descended, modern salon register, where refined names and collectible presentation meet accessible everyday fragrance. It is made for people who enjoy variety and personal expression, rather than treating fragrance as a single signature scent.
