Mantra (Bali) was the offering rooted in the island itself, where frangipani petals drop onto temple steps and offerings burn in stone bowls at sunset. The composition captures that specific place without leaning on synthetic shortcuts, drawing instead on absolutes, attars, and essential oils that carry the warmth and density of Bali's tropical air. It's a scent that wants to summon geography, to bottle not just a smell but a coordinate, a feeling of stone, incense, and humid green light.
Frangipani absolute is the headline, and it's a demanding material to work with, a flower whose scent carries real heft and complexity. Pairing it with oud is a deliberate counterweight, a resinous anchor that grounds what could otherwise float away into tropical cliché.
