The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Halloween Blossom arrived in 2022, created by perfumer Jérôme Di Marino for the Spanish fragrance house founded by Jesús del Pozo. The name says it all, a blossom, but one that doesn't behave like a typical floral. Di Marino built this around the tension between juicy fruit and heady white blooms. The strawberry note opens bright and almost candied, while green mandarin adds a citrus edge that keeps things from going syrupy. Jasmine then emerges, creamy and present, followed by orange blossom that sweetens the turn. The result is a fragrance that wears its sweetness honestly, without apology or fade. Vanilla and cedar arrive in the drydown, warming the composition and creating something skin-adjacent, the kind of scent that someone leans in to notice.
The heart of Egyptian jasmine and orange blossom is the real statement here, not just that white florals appear, but that they arrive wrapped in fruit. Wild strawberry gives them something to hold onto, keeps them from lifting away into abstraction. Meanwhile, pink pepper adds a faint prickle that prevents the composition from becoming purely dessert. The base, musk, vanilla, cedar, is deliberately soft. This is not a fragrance that wants to announce itself from across a room. It wants to be discovered close.
The evolution
The opening hits fast. Strawberry bursts first, bright and almost candied, followed immediately by green mandarin cutting through with a citrus edge that keeps things from going syrupy. This is the juiciest, most playful phase of the fragrance. Then the white florals begin their takeover. Jasmine emerges first, creamy and present, followed by orange blossom that sweetens the turn. The fruit notes don't disappear; they recede into the background, becoming atmosphere rather than the main character. As the fragrance develops, you're in vanilla and cedar territory. The florals have melted into something warmer, skin-adjacent, the kind of drydown that someone leans in to notice. The cedar element persists in the base, lingering with a clean, slightly sweet character. Musk arrives as a quiet final note, wrapping up the composition.
Cultural impact
Halloween Blossom is sweet enough to appeal to a broad audience, but with enough structural interest in its white floral heart to reward closer attention. Wearers describe it as the kind of fragrance that invites questions rather than making statements. It performs particularly well in spring and summer, when the strawberry and mandarin reading feels most natural. The community reception has been broadly positive, with particular praise for its ability to stay fresh rather than turning powdery.
