The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Keep Dreaming arrived in 2024 as a collaboration between Ghost and Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. Not charity as an afterthought, the young people treated at GOSH shaped this one. Patient illustrations decorate the bottle. More than that: they chose the scent itself. The name, Keep Dreaming, carries that weight. When you're in a hospital bed, dreams are something you hold onto. The fragrance translates that impulse into something wearable, not a sad scent, not a sombre one. Something that lifts. The composition opens with bright, accessible fruit that feels youthful and inviting, then transitions into a creamy white floral heart that feels like a quiet garden at night. There's warmth underneath from the start, a subtle spice that keeps the fruit from feeling too simple.
The note structure unfolds in layers that feel intentional and well-balanced. Raspberry and mandarin open bright and fruity, accessible, youthful, the kind of smell that doesn't require explanation. White pepper adds a subtle warmth underneath, keeping it from being purely fruit. Then the heart shifts the register entirely. Jasmine, magnolia, and tuberose together create a night-garden effect, creamy, heady, the kind of white florals that bloom after dark. Tuberose brings a certain boldness here, gardenia-adjacent, soft, enveloping when paired with the other white blooms.
The evolution
Raspberry and mandarin hit first, bright, juicy, almost tart. The white pepper is there from the start, a warmth that stops it from being mere fruit simplicity. As the opening settles, the fruity edge gradually softens and the florals begin to emerge. Jasmine arrives quietly, magnolia alongside it, and then the tuberose announces itself. Not with a bang, it grows. Like stepping into a greenhouse at night where the humid air wraps around you. The white florals take center stage, creating a creamy, enveloping phase that defines much of the wearing experience. The patchouli and sandalwood begin their integration as the florals mature, woody warmth underneath the blooms, grounding the composition without overwhelming it. The drydown is where it earns its name. Vanilla surfaces late, sweet and powdery against the patchouli. The overall impression is warm, intimate, close to the skin.
Cultural impact
Keep Dreaming stands apart from the typical fragrance release cycle. As a collaboration with Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, patient illustrations decorate the bottle, and £1.50 from each sale supports the hospital. The scent itself is a fruity-floral with above-average projection. For wearers drawn to the charitable angle, the fragrance delivers beyond the concept: a wearable, warm composition that rewards proximity over broadcast. The white floral heart, particularly the tuberose, gives it character that feels distinctive without being difficult to wear.
