Why it exists.
The beginning
Pierre-Constantin Guéros built this fragrance around a single idea: the moment before acceleration. Red pepper and violet leaf arrive first, sharp, almost aggressive, before the warmth of amber and the depth of oud take over. Launched in 2014, Red Power Intense was designed to translate the sensation of speed into scent, not the roar, but the anticipation. The composition opens with boldness, then gradually reveals its layers as it settles onto the skin. Each note finds its place in sequence, creating a fragrance that balances intensity with restraint.
What makes this structure interesting is the tension between spicy-resinous and powdery. Pairing oud and frankincense with violet leaf and iris is a different proposition. It adds a layer of elegance that keeps the composition from becoming heavy or one-dimensional.
