The beginning
Mojito Splash arrived as part of Bujairami's 2025 release cycle, and the brief was clear from the first spritz. The cocktail inspiration is literal but the execution isn't, and that's the whole pitch. The goal was never to bottle a mojito, the kind you get at a beach bar with too much rum. The goal was to bottle the feeling of one. The crush of mint, the cold cut of citrus, the herb garden you walk through to get to the bar. All of it concentrated into something wearable from morning to midnight, carrying the performance intensity Bujairami built its name on. This is a house that doesn't do quiet, even when the brief is 'fresh.' What that means in practice is a composition that behaves like an oriental in structure, with the brightness and accessibility of a cologne in mood.
What makes Mojito Splash interesting is the note structure doing two things at once. The top is a green aromatic blitz: mint, lemon, basil, thyme, all the herbs you'd muddle at the bar stacked into the first five minutes. Then the heart pulls in rosemary, blackcurrant, lavender, and jasmine, which sounds like a garden in Provence more than a cocktail, and that's the tension.
The evolution
The opening is a cold slap, mint and lemon and basil hitting simultaneously, bright enough to make you check whether the bottle is actually cold. It doesn't smell like a mojito so much as the five seconds after the bartender hands you one, glass sweating, mint bruised between someone's fingers, the first sniff sharper than the taste will be. Fifteen minutes in, the herbs settle into something greener and more grounded. Rosemary takes the lead, the blackcurrant quietly sweetens underneath, and the lavender smooths the edges.
