Mr Momentum arrived in 2024 as a blue fragrance with a distinguishing feature in its heart: passion fruit, threaded between cardamom and lavender where most compositions in the genre rely on safer aromatic materials. The formula keeps the familiar structure that defines the blue category, aromatic and clean at the surface, but introduces a tropical sweetness that gives it a different center of gravity. It's the kind of choice that separates this release from the dozens of other blues crowding the shelf, not by reinventing the wheel but by swapping out one expected element for something more unexpected.
The unusual choice is passion fruit, which sits in the heart between cardamom and lavender, lending a tropical sweetness that softens the sharp aromatic edges typically found in this kind of composition. Ginger and grapefruit handle the snap up top, bright and slightly pithy, giving an immediate burst before settling. Patchouli, vetiver, and mint anchor the base, grounding the brighter notes with something denser and cooler.
The evolution
