2334 takes its name from the elevation of the Hafelekarspitze, a peak in the Tyrolean Alps. The number isn't decorative. It's the altitude of the place the scent is trying to bottle, a literal meter reading turned into a label. The fragrance was renamed 2334 in 2015, replacing the earlier name Donna. Lara Balacco is credited as the perfumer.
